Les avatars David Still et Mouchette: de l’effet de réel à la présence

PAULE MACKROUS

Abstract: The author envisages a definition of presence as an oscillating sensation of alterity to be built by merging the onlooker or the reader into a work of art or a literary piece. The virtual identity the internet provides to its end users is actually an identity made up of fragments undergoing structural and organisational changes. Therefore, presence is perceived as a form of alterity.
