Le poète-philosophe ou le philosophe-poète – une destinée

ȚICU GOLDSTEIN

Abstract: A poet and a philosopher, a philosopher and a poet, Benjamin Fondane remains a special destiny. His reception in the Romanian and French literary milieus, the works that have imposed him among the great names of the inter-war culture, his refusal to resign in the face of history’s absurdity which will lead him to an untimely and tragic death, place him among those characters towards whom the “exercises of admiration” are self-imposed.
