Abstract: The study follows the presence of the poet and literary critic B. Fundoianu in the modernist Romanian magazines, proving, thus, that his decision to move to Paris in 1923, did not mean a final break with his formative environment. The literary world at home was kept informed as to the successes that the “ambassador” of the Romanian avantgardists scored in the metropolis of modern art. On the other hand, he regularly sent in news on the latest trends. His critical stands, expressed towards the literary avant-garde, forecast, eventually, the aesthetic philosophy that B. Fundoianu will develop towards the end of the fourth decade.
