Abstract: Literature does not let us to be bored. As an interrogation on world, literature does not pose ontological questions. The word “literature” has a functional role. Within the Romanian space, as early as the ’60s a new literary generation will take shape, striving to break out of the coercive environment, by proposing a new criticism, abstracted from contingency. I am interested to see how the critics’ deflections become meaningful in updating literary history.
